BemerkungenThis was spectacular and I thought at the time that it was a meteor. However, it was extremely slow moving. After reading other reports I believe it is thought to be space junk re-entering the atmosphere and was seen in other parts of Australia and northern Tasmania. I believe that I witnessed the very end of it so would indicate the most southerly part.

Bemerkungen-
Spätere Geräusche

Bemerkungen5 Deep thud / booms over approx 2-3 seconds followed by a single thud approx 700-800ms later. Low frequency sounds. Estimated time delay of 4-5mins from the end of the event. I started a stop watch 60-90 seconds after the event to time any associated sounds. I'm uncertain if these sounds were associated with this event, though were unusual at the time.
